AWARDS BESTOWED ON TASCAM'S FW-1884

Montebello, CA (January 20, 2004): Pro Audio Review and Remix Magazine have awarded their highest praise on the new FW-1884 FireWire Audio/MIDI Interface and Control Surface. Pro Audio Review granted the PAR Excellence 2003 award to the FW-1884, the magazine's highest praise. Remix Magazine bestowed the FW-1884 with their Technology 2003 award during the 2004 NAMM show in Anaheim, CA.

The FW-1884 is an 18-channel audio interface, 64-channel MIDI interface and control surface for leading digital audio workstation applications. It has eight mic pres and eight analog outputs with built-in surround monitoring features, plus ADAT and S/PDIF digital I/O. Its eight channels strips include 100mm touch-sensitive moving faders, solo/mute/select buttons and an assignable encoder for pan and aux control. A wide selection of DAW transport and editing controls are also provided. The FW-1884 records at up to 96kHz / 24-bit resolution for the best sound quality, and can be expanded with the FE-8 Fader Expander.
