TASCAM has announced the appointment of Rick McClendon to the position of National Sales Manager. McClendon, a 25-year veteran of the music/audio products industry, will be responsible for leading TASCAM's U.S. sales operations.
"Rick is a great fit for TASCAM," said Jim Mack, TASCAM Division Manager. "Working with regional sales managers Gregg Hildebrandt and Chuck Prada, TASCAM now offers one of the most experienced sales teams in the industry. They really know what works for driving sales through the market, and the level of focus from their cumulative experience will be a huge benefit to our reps and dealers."
McClendon will be responsible for creating and implementing programs designed to facilitate sell-through of TASCAM products, as well as improving TASCAM's position at the point of sale. He comes to TASCAM after having spent the past two years as Director of Sales for the Harman Music Group. For fifteen years prior to that, Rick held sales management positions at Roland Corporation US, most recently as District Sales Manager. In addition to his manufacturing experience, McClendon's background includes stints in musical instrument importing/wholesale, MI retail store management and retail sales.
"TASCAM is the company that started the recording revolution," said McClendon. "I'm looking forward to raising dealer awareness on the advantages of this premier line. TASCAM offers so many opportunities for dealers to get involved at every level of recording product sales, and I'm confident that I can make a difference in this regard."
TASCAM is the professional audio division of TEAC Corporation and produces the most comprehensive line of audio recorders, mixers and related equipment in the pro audio industry. TASCAM has offices in the U.S, U.K., Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, Japan, Mexico and Latin America.
