Composer / Orchestrator / Musician Benoit Grey has a very eclectic history in music. Originally a bassist from French Canada, he was hired at a young age by the legendary Ray Charles to perform and record with this icon around the world for a number of years before Benoit left to continue his career as a composer of music for film and TV. Benoit is currently scoring feature film trailers for a prominent trailer house in Los Angeles, CA. Recent trailer titles include "The Covenant" (feature film) , and "Buffy & Angel" (DVD release)

Benoit has also scored the feature films "Jimmy and Judy," "My Child: Mothers of War" and "Angel with an Attitude". "Jimmy and Judy", has won both the "Best Feature Award" from the San Francisco Independent Film Festival, and the myspace.com award! It has started its theatrical run in Oregon, Washington State, Northern California, Ohio, Kentucky and Michigan. It is currently playing in select cities in all these states.

He has co-composed such major studio features as "Scary Movie 2" and "Pokemon the First Movie" (as well as all three studio-released Poke'mon films). He has also co-composed the music for the Majesco/Appaloosa Video Game title "Jaws Unleashed" and the TV commercial for the video game based on the TV series "24". He has contributed music to film and TV projects helmed by world-famous film/TV directors and writers such as Keenan Ivory Wayans, Barry Levinson and Darren Star. His orchestrations have been featured on major studio films such as "The Day After Tomorrow", "Texas Chainsaw Massacres: The Beginning", and "Failure to Launch." He also orchestrated the 2005 Emmy-winning song "Mary Jane Mary Lane" for Showtime's feature film "Reefer Madness" and contributed orchestrations to the annual telecast of the Academy Awards Show. Benoit's orchestrations will be featured in the soon-to-be released (November 17, 2006) comedy film "Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny" starring Jack Black.
