Bob Moog Foundation To Spin Vintage Vinyl at TASCAM Booth During NAMM 2018

01-16-2018

January 16, 2018 - Asheville, NC... The Bob Moog Foundation will be rocking  the 2018 Winter NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Show with selections of vintage vinyl from the Bob Moog Foundation Archives. The four-day convention takes place from January 25th-January 28th and gathers over 1,500 exhibitors and over 100,000 attendees.  The Foundation will be spinning electronic music recordings from the 1960s and early 1970s at the TASCAM/TEAC booth 18910 between 10am-6pm each day.

Pulling from its vast archive of historical materials, the Foundation will feature iconic vintage recordings by Wendy Carlos, Morton Subotnick, Larry Fast, Isao Tomita, Emerson, Lake, & Palmer, Yes, Rick Wakeman, and Stevie Wonder, as well as rarities by Beaver and Krause, Mort Garson, Dick Hyman, Jean-Jacques Perrey, and more. All of the vinyl will be played on TEAC's TN-420 belt-driven turntable, and heard through TASCAM's powerful TH-02 headphones.

"We are excited to collaborate with TASCAM and TEAC to bring the Bob Moog Foundation Archives' vintage recordings to the show floor at Winter NAMM," notes Michelle Moog-Koussa, Executive Director of the Foundation. "Not only will attendees get a high quality listening experience in the middle of a busy convention, but by bringing this music alive we aim to inspire people through some of the history that helped give birth to a considerable sector of the very industry that is being celebrated."

"This year at NAMM, we are pausing to reflect on our history while looking forward to the future," commented Eric Larsen, Director of Marketing for TASCAM. "Standing alongside the Bob Moog foundation as they celebrate the legacy of Dr. Moog by educating tomorrow's music makers is both the perfect complement to the TASCAM brand promise and a great honor personally."

The Foundation joins Nuclear Blast and Blue Coast Recordings, who will also be spinning heavy metal and exceptional high resolution digital audio at additional listening stations in the TASCAM/TEAC booth.
